On November 8, 2018 the small mountain town of Paradise, California was forever changed by the devastating Camp Fire that swept through the area. It took 28 days for the fire to be contained, but not before 153,000 acres burned, 85 died, 17 were injured, and 18,804 buildings destroyed. In 2010, Paradise had a population of 26,218. It’s estimated today that the town’s population is 4,478, or about 17% of the population before the Camp Fire nearly three years ago.

He was born and raised in the rural Northern California town of Red Bluff, just two hours south of the Oregon border. After one year of college, Prinz relocated to San Francisco to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. At age 26, he began studying architecture at Portland State University while interning at Studio Petretti Architecture led by Amanda Petretti. His professional contributions while at Studio Petretti were focused on a portion of the new Multnomah County Courthouse which is a prominent addition to the Portland skyline. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Roxanne where he continues to work as a designer.
